Virtual Library

The CIYFC Virtual Library is an active list of tools, supplies, equipment, skills, and services by growers, for growers. The intention behind this library is to connect growers in our community to barter supplies and skills. Though most listings will be free to have or to borrow, some items may be for sale. Please share with your network so that this library can grow to be an effective tool for young farmers across Central Illinois and beyond.

This library is for you if...

• you are a beginning farmer looking for a specialty tool for your operation.

• you are a grower wanting to try out a certain type of equipment before buying your own.

• you have a specialty tool that you only use a couple times a year and would like to lend it out to a beginning farmer.

• you have a unique skill that will benefit your neighbors.

• you are looking to re-home your old or gently used equipment.

• you have a surplus of growing supplies that you'd like to donate to another farmer.

• you want to support the next generation of young farmers using your unique skills in website building, identifying invasive species, public speaking, building a raised bed, etc.
